The Black Sorrows, Alice Ivy & more just got added to SXSW 2018

South By South West (SXSW) 2018 is already shaping up to be a pretty huge event. With the iconic music conference announcing an ‘Australia House’ only a couple of days ago for the March event, they’ve just gone an upped the Aussie representation by adding another whole bunch of local acts to the lineup.

After having already announced a huge array of Aussie talent for the conference, including the likes of Ruby Fields, Gang Of Youths, Stella Donnelly, Sloan Peterson, and Jess Ribeiro, SXSW has just added a whole bunch of more stellar Aussie acts, including one veteran Melbourne group.

With the likes of Gordi, Alice Ivy, Bloods, Didirri, and Mallrat joining the bill, it looks as though there is going to be a pretty huge spotlight on Aussie talent this year, as our best and brightest do their best to represent their home country the best way they can.

Also joining SXSW 2018 is The Black Sorrows, the legendary Melbourne rock group led by Joe Camilleri. Having formed in 1983, they’re one of the most seasoned groups to be included on this year’s list of acts.

The iconic music conference is set to take over Austin, Texas on Friday, March 9th, and run until Sunday, March 18th of 2018. If you’re keen to read up on the full, extensive list of other acts on the bill, head over to the South By Southwest website for more information.
