BIGSOUND speakers: Bethany Cosentino, Vivien Goldman + more announced
Australia’s biggest music industry conference just keeps getting better. BIGSOUND has unveiled more guests set to feature on their 2019 speaker lineup today.
Best Coast rocker Bethany Cosentino will be making a trip down under to share her words of wisdom. Over the past decade, Cosentino has established herself as a salient voice in the industry, using her platform to rally against sexism and sexual assault. We can also thank her for providing a slew of the finest indie-rock records of the 2000s.

Vivien Goldman has cut her teeth as a journalist in the UK, writing for NME, Sounds and Melody Maker, on top of this she’s also hosted on pirate radio, worked as Bob Marley’s first publicist, and dabbled in the world of artistry as part of 80s new-wave duo Chantage. Earlier this year she released a novel chronicling female involvement in the punk movement, Revenge of the She-Punks.
Hometown hero Sahara Herald has been a leading figure in the Australian live music industry for decades. Herald worked as National Event Co-ordinator of the beloved Big Day Out for eighteen years, before moving to Frontier Touring where she was appointed Tour Director. Herald is who we owe monolithic tours from Lorde, The Killers, Troye Sivan, Paul Kelly, Midnight Oil and Shawn Mendes to.
Mojo Juju has quickly become one of the most important and influential voices in Australian music. Mojo Juju ascended to the highest ranks of Australian music with her triple-ARIA nominated album Native Tongue.
