AWME 2015 Announces 1st Round of Showcase Acts

Now in its eighth year, the annual Australasian Worldwide Music Expo will showcase Melbourne’s biggest line-up of the finest roots music across three days and nights this November 12 to 14.
To kick off AWME 2015 early bird passes are now available.
This year, AWME will be jam-packed with music industry speakers, a broad conference program of national and international music industry professionals and an amazing array of live musical talent.
AWME 2015 is thrilled to announce the first round of artists for the live music program, representing an eclectic mix of acts including Melbourne’s soulful, jazz blues chanteuse Mojo Juju; renaissance man and enigmatic showman, Henry Wagons & the Only Children; tour de force of funk and soul Emma Donovan & the Putbacks (pictured above); revival analog-era Latin music greats Quarter Street; raconteur and troubadour Mick Thomas; R&B/neo-soul sensation Ngaiire (pictured); Australia’s stylish alt-country act Ruby Boots; the didgeridoo-infused electronic/dub group OKA; the bass-heavy roots-raisers Kingfisha; enigmatic troubadour Archer and internationally recognized multi-talented guitarist and songwriter Thomas Oliver kick off the first round of acts!
AWME not only presents a strong public festival event, but also creates a platform for showcasing musicians from around Australia and across the region to meet with music industry representatives from around the world. In the last few years, AWME showcases and networking sessions directly resulted in new opportunities for artists in the areas of touring, festival engagements, performances, media coverage, recording, publishing and other career-building activities.
As well as these measurable quantitative outcomes, AWME provides the environment and opportunity to bring together delegates to network formally and informally, resulting in discussions and business opportunities which develop over time and enable long-term sustainable career opportunities well into the future.
AWME 2015 will also be announcing in coming weeks, the inclusion of a diverse range of industry speakers as part of this year’s Conference Program.
