Ausmusic T-Shirt Day 2021 raised over $500k for workers in need

Support Act’s annual fundraising campaign, Ausmusic T-Shirt Day, broke a new record this year, with the 2021 campaign raising over half a million dollars.

Held last Friday, Ausmusic T-Shirt Day 2021 has so far raised a total of $539,732, the highest amount the campaign has ever achieved. It also marks a 65% increase on what was raised in 2020.

“Our sincere thanks to everyone who participated and made this year’s Ausmusic T-Shirt Day our biggest year yet, and for helping to celebrate Australian music while raising funds for all those who are doing it tough,” Support Act CEO Clive Miller said.

Miller also confirmed the website will remain open for a few more weeks and that the Support Act team are confident that they can get to “at least $550,000 by the time we call time on this year’s event”.

Almost 1,900 people and teams contributed to this year’s huge total, with massive donations coming from the likes of Cold Chisel, Sennheiser Australia, Play On Victoria, Moshtix and more.

The team at Support Act recently welcomed First Nations artist Mitch Tambo to their ranks, offering him their first ever role of cultural and inclusion ambassador.

In other Support Act news, their inaugural head first conference was recently delayed until 2022.
