ArowAgency launches sister company, Hey Charlie! PR [EXCLUSIVE]
The Sydney-based artist management firm behind breakout acts Lupa J and No Frills Twins has launched Australia’s first e-commerce artist services store, Hey Charlie! PR.
Offering a multi-layered approach, ArowAgency founders Elizabeth Browne and Tamara Georgopoulos launched the new sister company to provide publicity, marketing, mentoring and project management for artists.
Covering every stage of an artist’s career, from emerging to established, Hey Charlie! PR is a direct response to the crippling effects of COVID-19 on Australia’s music industry. Marketed as affordable and individualised, its services include bio writing, content calendars and press release creation, right through to full-scale publicity and digital strategy campaigns.
“More than ever, artists are the CEOs of their business and over the years working with some brilliant independent artists and management teams we’ve found that not all artists need the same blanket approach to releasing their music,” said Tamara Georgopoulos.
“We’ve pulled apart the traditional roles of Artist Management and Publicity and found a way to offer bite-sized components while still offering full service campaigns to artists who are after a more holistic approach,” she added.
Elizabeth Browne told TIO the goal behind Hey Charlie! PR is to take the pressure off an artist when it comes to their release schedule, regardless of what career stage they’re at.
“Our aim has always been to assist artists at every turn, and most importantly to educate, support and empower them,” said Browne. “We want the process of walking an artist through their Spotify and Apple dashboards to feel as comfortable as sharing a virtual cup of tea.
“In nurturing a conversational environment, our aim is to help ease the pressure of releasing music, and our new e-commerce platform is designed to assist every single artist that gets in touch with us!”
The launch of the sister company sees ArowAgency‘s long-time publicist Zana Rose make the move over to Hey Charlie! PR on a full-time basis, reporting into Browne and Georgopoulos.
Elizabeth Browne and Tamara Georgopoulos founded ArowAgency in 2016. As former Sony Music Australia and Southern Cross Austereo employees, their combined experience in digital marketing, A&R and artist development has made them highly regarded for their A&R instincts, commitment to fairness and transparency with their roster of artists.
The current ArowAgency roster includes Ainsley Farrell, Lupa J, No Frills Twins and Sam Phay.
