Applications open for ARIA and Virgin Australia’s new scholarship to help upcoming musicians get to the US
ARIA and Virgin Australia have announced a new scholarship aimed at supporting and fostering Australia’s brightest up and coming talent, easing the financial pressures of travel.
The initiative recognises the essential role travel plays in the development of artist’s careers and the added stress budgeting for it can add. In turn, local artists will be given the opportunity to take their talent to the US and abroad to further their careers.
The scholarship is open to any Australian artist who charted within the ARIA top 100 singles and albums in 2017, who are currently represented by an ARIA member.
Artists will need to outline what their promotional strategy for 2018 is, including a US tour plan and a brief description of how the scholarship will help achieve their goals.
Submissions close Monday the 5th of February and will be submitted via [email protected]. For more information, head to the official website here.
Good Luck!
