Anna Fitzgerald Launches Independent PR Firm Ms.Fitz Communications
Anna Fitzgerald, the award-winning music publicist, is launching her own specialist comms company.
This week, Fitzgerald unveils ms.fitz communications, an independent firm specialising in servicing music to Australian radio, particularly triple j and commercial radio.
“We devise strategic and dynamic promotional plans to secure airplay and grow your audience,” reads a statement on the start-up’s official website.
Also, Fitzgerald’s enterprise “can create and execute on-ground promotional schedules covering radio, TV, print and online media and we can also get your music in front of DSPs.”
Fitzgerald takes the leap following 10 years guiding comms at TMRW Music, which includes etcetc Music and Ministry of Sound events, and stints with Sony Music and Warner Music before that, working with such stars as Jessica Mauboy and Slash.
Her talents in the field were rewarded in 2018 with the publicist of the year trophy at the inaugural Industry Observer Awards in Sydney, and she’s the recipient of a Women in Music Australia Soho House Fellowship.
“I’m excited to finally go out on my own,” she says in a statement to The Music Network.
Fitzgerald’s CV includes campaigns with homegrown stars PNAU, FISHER and Peking Duk, plus internationals Jax Jones, Duke Dumont and Loud Luxury.
Based in Sydney, Fitzgerald continues to work with PNAU, the ARIA Award-winning electronic music trio, and their upcoming album Hyperbolic for etcetc, and counts TMRW/etcetc as the first client for ms.fitz communications.
“Having worked with some of the biggest names in electronic music globally,” reads the launch statement, “we also have great relationships with dance radio in Australia, New Zealand and internationally.”
Most recently, Fitzgerald served as director of publicity & promotion at TMRW Music Group (previously Ministry of Sound Australia).
Alongside electronic music producer KLP, Fitzgerald is co-founder of Ricochet Ball, a mixed netball tournament for the entertainment industry which has raised over $75,000 for charity in just three years.
