Amrap Chart Wrap: The Goon Sax and Melbourne Ska Orchestra Top Community Radio Charts
The Amrap Metro and Amrap Regional Charts provide insight into what’s gaining airplay and attention on community radio. The charts show the Top 10tracks ordered for airplay by community broadcasters through the Amrap’s AirIt music distribution service. This week sees The Goon Saxand Melbourne Ska Orchestra take the top spots.
The Goon Sax take #1 for the first time in the Amrap Metro Chart with Up to Anything having picked up spots in 4ZZZ Brisbane’s Top 20, 2Ser Sydney’s SERvin’ Up and FBi Radio Sydney’s new music lists. Listen to their interview on SYN Melbourne’s all Australian music show The Hoist. They also picked up featured record on PBS FM.
Melbourne Ska Orchestra take #1 in the Amrap Regional Chart with Funkchunk. The ska supergroup have amassed airplay across the country at stations including Harvey Community Radio in WA, Alex FM and Radio Adelaide in SA, Noosa Community Radio, Valley FM and Fraser Coast Community Radio in QLD, Radio 3MGB, 3WBC, 3NRG, Voice FM, Mitchell Community Radio and Apple FM in VIC, as well as Eastside Radio, Valley FM, Monaro FM, Northside Radio and Port Stephens FM in NSW.
Summer Flake takes #2 in the Amrap Metro Chart with Wine Won’t Wash Away having picked up spots in 4ZZZ Brisbane’s Top 20 and FBi Radio Sydney’s new music lists. Listen to her interview and live performance on FBi Radio’s Jack Off with Jack Shit.
KIT takes #2 in the Amrap Regional Chart with How Hard. The pulsing track has racked up airplay across the country at stations including RTR FM and Voice of the Avon in WA, Radio Adelaide, 5GTR FM and Hills Radio in SA, 3MGB, JOY 94.9, Mitchell Community Radio and Voice FM in VIC, as well as 2RDJ, Valley FM, 2Ser, 2MCR and Monaro FM in NSW.
