Amrap Chart Wrap: 8 Ball Aitken & Major Leagues Top Community Radio Charts

The Amrap Metro and Amrap Regional Charts provide insight into what’s gaining airplay and attention on community radio. The charts show the Top 10 tracks ordered for airplay by community broadcasters through the Amrap’s AirIt music distribution service. This week sees Major Leagues and 8 Ball Aitken take the top spots.
Major Leagues take #1 in the Amrap Metro Chart with Someone Sometime. Listen to Vlada from the band joining Grace Pashley on The Amplifier for an interview on their hometown station 4ZZZ, chatting about upcoming shows and becoming a ’Groupon loving spinster.’ The band also popped by FBi Radio in Sydney for a chat and a live set on Jack off with Jack Shit. 8 Ball Aitken has climbed to #1 in the Amrap Regional Chart with Underneath the Stars. The track has racked up additional airplay at stations including Gove FM in NT, City Park Radio in TAS, 4NAG and Beau FM in QLD, Voice FM, Inner FM and 3MGB in VIC, Coast FM, WOW FM and Fleurieu FM in SA, as well as 2SEA, Northside Radio, 2MIA, TLC FM, Valley FM, 2EAR, Radio Norfolk and Radio Dungog in NSW.
Camp Cope continue their strong run in the Amrap Metro Chart, taking #2 with Jet Fuel Can’t Melt Steel Beams. Listen to Sarah from the band joining Aus Unplugged on SYN Radio Melbourne. The band also joined The Breakfast Spread on PBS a couple of weeks ago, guest programming songs as part of their Musical Chairs segment.
Héloise take #2 in the Amrap Regional Chart in their second charting week with the spaghetti western inspired Old Salt. The Melbourne group joined their hometown station Triple R Melbourne, playing three songs live to air. Listen back here. Moorditj Brothers take #3 in the Amrap Regional Chart with Just Dance having racked up airplay in every state and territory at stations including Noongar Radio in WA, 2XX Canberra, Gove FM in NT, WOW FM in SA, Beau FM, Noosa Community Radio and Fraser Coast FM in QLD, Voice FM, Yarra Valley FM and Sunraysia Community Radio in VIC, as well as Northside Radio, 2MCE, 2MIA, Monaro FM, 2BACR, Highland FM, 2SEA and Radio Dungog in NSW.
King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard take #4 in the Amrap Metro Chart with People-Vultures after picking up spots in 2SER Sydney’s SERvin’ Up and 4ZZZ Brisbane’s Top 20 new music lists. The track has amassed additional airplay at stations including Fraser Coast FM and Gin Gin’s Own in QLD, 2NVR and Radio Dungog in NSW, Mitchell Community Radio and 94.7 The Pulse in VIC, as well as WOW FM and Coast FM in SA.
Pikelet is at #6 in the Amrap Metro Chart with The Neighbour’s Grass.
