ABC to simulcast Crowded House Encore concerts
A number of ABC platforms are simulcasting one of the four sold out Crowded House Live shows at the Sydney Opera House forecourt as part of Ausmusic Month celebrations.
The simulcast, on Sunday, November 27, is on ABC TV, Double J and iView. It will also be live-streamed on the ABC TV Facebook page (@ABCTV).
The Crowded House Encore shows come at the end of music events across ABC radio, TV, iView and online throughout November.

The J Awards on Thursday, November 17 include categories as the year’s Australian album, Unearthed artist, Double J artist and music video.
triple j will also be presenting all-Australian Like a Version and Live at the Wireless performances throughout November. Details to be announced this week.

triplejunearthed.com’s 10th birthday party on Friday, November 18 from 7 pm features sets from its discoveries as Allday, Northeast Party House, Ali Barter and Alex Lahey and a number of “surprise collaborations.” It is at Victoria’s State Library as part of Melbourne Music Weekly.

Opera Australia broadcasts showcase landmark productions past and present. It begins with a live broadcast of the acclaimed Australian opera The Eighth Wonder from Sydney Opera House steps on Saturday, November 5 and willculminate with the current sell-out production of Wagner’s Ring Cycle from Melbourne beginning November 29.

The Inside Sleeve is at 3 pm on Wednesdays while the RN Music Show is live from Queenscliff Music festival on Saturday, November 26 and Sunday 27.

A pop-up 24/7 stream featuring 100% classical music written by Australians is on ABC Extra, online and on DAB+ Digital Radio.

ABC, ABC2 and ABC ME will present a diverse range of Ausmusic Month programming.
The Nick Cave featuring 20,000 Days on Earth is on Sunday, November 6 at 8.30pm on ABC2 and iView.
Rage presents Ausmusic Month specials every Saturday morning and evening across November on ABC TV.
In Tune sees aspiring musos in one-on-one interviews and jam sessions with the likes of include Vance Joy, Birds of Tokyo, Stonefield, Cat Empire, and Missy Higgins. These are on Tuesdays November 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 at 6.20pm on ABC ME & iView
iView presents an Ausmusic Month curated slate of programming featuring live concerts and performances, archival material and Australian music content.
Friday, November 18 is Ausmusic T-shirt Day. Listeners are encouraged to wear an Australian music artist’s t-shirt on this day to demonstrate their pride in Australian music. Take a photo and tag it with #AusmusicTshirtDay to be part of the nationwide celebrations of Australian music.
