Samantha Jade joins cast of Celebrity Apprentice Australia
Australian singer and performer Samantha Jade has joined Channel 9’s upcoming season of Celebrity Apprentice.
The show has already commenced filming and will go to air next year.
Jade had record deals in the early 2000s, however firmly established herself in 2012 when she won X Factor.
In 2013, she won the ARIA Award for Best Video for ‘Firestarter’. Throughout her career, she’s also been nominated for Best Adult Contemporary Album and Song of the Year. She also played Aussie icon Kylie Minogue in the 2014 mini-series INXS: Never Tear Us Apart.
Celebrity Apprentice Australia will also feature actor and former host of The Voice, Darren McMullen, as well as a swag of celebrities from fields including sport, acting, reality TV and modelling.
KIIS FM’s Will & Woody, or Will McMahon and Woody Whitelaw, were two of the first contestants to be revealed earlier this year.
The show sees the celebrities divided into teams of two and compete in various challenges for billionaire Lord Alan Sugar. The ultimate winner gets $100,000 for their chosen charity. Throughout the series, the celebrities’ contacts and contests also raise additional money for their charities.
This year’s season featured Alex Hayes, Anthony Callea and The Veronicas, and was taken out by interior designer and judge of Channel 9’s The Block, Shaynna Blaze.
