First round of speakers announced for Face The Music 2015

Annual musicindustryconference Face The Music is set to return to Melbournein November with US artist/producer JD Samson (Le Tigre, MEN) and music activist/founder of global event Un-Convention, Ruth Daniel.

The pair is among 150 speakers who will exchange ideas, inspiration and information with Australia's contemporary music community during Melbourne Music Week on Friday November 13 and Saturday November 14.

Daniel is set to introduce delegates to the work of Brazilian music group and her own colleagues Fora Do Eixo. She’ll also discuss the Off Axis Network model she is using to take Fora Do Eixo global.

20 of the 150 local and international speakers at Face The Music 2015 were announced this morning. They are:

Tickets to the non-profit event are available now from facethemusic.com.au, from $65 to $120. Member discounts are available from Music Victoria, AAM, APRA, AIR, Collarts, AIM and The Push.

Last year's event included a keynote frommusic legend Steve Albini anda masterclass with Grammy award-winner Hiatus Kaiyote.
