Exclusive: Dream On, Dreamer give back to fans following pricing error

As Melbourne independent heavy act Dream On, Dreamer prepfor the launch oftheir first wholly independent release, Songs Of Solitude, the band have backtracked on the pricing of the record.

The forthcoming third LP was originally priced at $25 plus shipping, however the pre-order for the album was deemed just a bit too high for many of the group's fans.

“Whilst having an overwhelming number of orders we've had some feedback that some fans just can't afford the CD,” guitarist Chris Shaw told TMN.“Doing a release DIY is a lot more time consuming than just handing it straight to a label or distribution, and we have to budget and account for every dollar.”

Following the feedback the band have decided to drop the price to $20 plus shipping.“We're also currently contacting any fan that had pre-ordered it at $25, issuing them with a $5 partial refund and an email thanking them for the early order, and apologising for the pricing error,” saidShaw.

Fans who pre-purchased the CD can expect to be contacted by the band and see their partial refunds to arrive in the next 24 hours.
