Teamwrk Records and Lucky Ent. launch music distribution platform
Teamwrk Records and Lucky Ent. have announced the launch of DistroWrk, a new distribution platform that allows artists to retain 100% of their rights and royalties.
The distribution arm will enable acts to release their music across Spotify, TikTok, Apple Music, Amazon and other major streaming services without forfeiting publishing rights or royalties.
The platform will also feature an artist portal to give musicians full control over their assets, uploads and monthly royalty withdrawals, as well as providing full access to in-depth streaming and sales analytics.
Artists with an established following will be able to opt into additional promotional services from Teamwrk Records, and can choose to upstream their music via the label’s system to achieve increased marketing support.
DistroWrk artists can also choose to have access to Lucky Ent.’s other artist management, booking agency and events divisions resources, including Ultra Music Festival Australia, Good Things Festival, Billboard and 170 Russell.
Teamwrk and Lucky Ent. partner Jae Butt said that the new distribution platform would serve as an Australian alternative to other distribution services and would focus on identifying and supporting emerging local talent.
“DistroWrk gives developing artists full control of their music and careers and also enables our team to identify emerging talent and offer them world-class opportunities to propel their careers to the next level. It’s really a no-brainer for any artist,” Butt said.
Teamwrk Records is best known as the label of ‘Astronaut In The Ocean’ rapper Masked Wolf, with the track amassing over one billion streams and being certified Gold or Platinum in over 15 countries this year.
