Call & Response inks global management deal with UK chart-topper Example

UK hitmaker Example has signed a global management deal with boutique Brisbane agency Call & Response.

The deal will see Call & Response’s Joshua Taylor-Anderson (Carmouflage Rose, James Angus) manage Example in a joint venture with Micky McNeice of Circle Eight, who has represented the two-time chart-topping artist since 2019.

Example will work closely alongside Taylor-Anderson and McNeice ahead of the release of his new album, which is slated to arrive in mid-2022.

The UK artist, who is currently based in Brisbane with his family, said that the partnership marked the first global management deal of his career.

“I’ve been in this business over 15 years now. I’ve already achieved so much, but have more hunger and ambition than ever before,” Example said.

“This is the first time in my career I’ve had a global management team and I’m so excited to see what we’re going to achieve over the coming years.”

Taylor-Anderson of Call & Response said that working with Example was a “once in a lifetime opportunity,” praising his work ethic and the prospect of working alongside McNiece on a global scale.

“I’m incredibly excited to work with an international artist like Example,” Taylor-Anderson said.

“Not only is he one of the most talented artists of our generation, but he also has an unmatched work ethic. I welcome the challenge of working alongside Micky to take Example to new heights in the coming years.”

Currently, Example is scheduled to return to the UK to play a string of summer festival dates, and is set to make his return to perform shows in Australia towards the end of 2021.
