Astral People return OutsideIn festival for 2015
Artist management/touring company Astral People and independent label Yes Please are returning OutsideIn this year.
Now in its fourth year, the one-day boutiquefestival returns to Sydney’s Manning House for the second time on September 26. It relocated to the space from Factory Theatre last year to host its biggest lineup yet, including The Pharcyde (US), Seekae, Pantha Du Prince (GER), Roy Davis Jr (US), Collarbones and Basenji.

Astral People'sLeeDanilewitz said boutique festivals such as OutsideIn are more important than ever given Australia’s current festival climate.
“Primarily because of the internet people have access to so many different types of music that festivals like Big Day Out etcetera are redundant these days," he told TMN."People aren’t interested in 'one size fits all'events, they want something tailored to what they like.”
Danilewitz said OutsideIn’s current format, which uses electronic’s finest vanguards, is based on the music tastes of its organisers. Along with Danilewitz, Astral People is VicharaEdirisinghe,Tom Huggett, Daniel Hundt and Matty Blanchard, who also co-founded Yes Please.
“With our event it’s not strictly an electronic event, it shows what sort of music we’re interested in and luckily there’s a lot of people who have varied taste which share the same interest in the bands we book,” saidDanilewitz.
The first round of acts for the 2015 lineup is expected to drop next week.
