iHeartRadio Australia offers new stations, exclusives, podcasts

Hot on the heels of new developments at iHeartRadio Australia including the recent appointment of a dedicated Content Director and content marketing business Emotive working across the brand, Australian Radio Network (ARN) has launched a range of exciting new content and stations giving Australian audiences unrivalled access to their favourite artists, including iHeartRadio LIVE pop-up stations, plus even more interviews, collaborations and podcasts on the entertainment platform.
Beginning this week, real-time international performances by stars like Jason Derulo, Florence and the Machine, The Black Keys and Nate Ruess, of Grammy-Award winning band Fun, will be recorded live and available for fans as the iHeartRadio LIVE pop-up stations give Australian audiences unprecedented access to their favourite artists.
In addition to the new stations, genres and specialty formats to be added to the platform in the coming months, listeners can now hear or relive all their favourite breakfast and drive shows from the KIIS National Network, breakfast shows on the Pure Gold Network, the iHeartRadio Countdown with Matty Acton, The AList with Kyle & Jackie O, and Sydney’s The Edge 96.ONE with the launch of a new suite of on demand podcasts.
iHeartRadio Australia’s newly appointed Content Director Brett “Nozz” Nossiter said he was excited to announce this new content offering on the platform and is looking forward to further expanding iHeartRadio Australia’s listener experience.
“If you love music and want to hear the latest live performances and interviews with your favourite artists, iHeartRadio is the place to get it,” he said. “We are making it easier than ever for fans to access more content featuring their favourite radio personalities and celebrity interviews whenever and wherever they are.”
Head of iHeartRadio Australia Geraint Davies adds, “Today’s announcement marks the start of the next exciting phase in iHeartRadio’s growth, we’re adding new stations, and giving audiences more of want they love. And there’s plenty more to come in the coming months.”
iHeartRadio’s growth in Australia continues with more 414,000 registered users and is cementing itself as the place for fans to enjoy their favourite music and catch artist interviews and celebrity chats with some of Australia’s most popular radio personalities from ARN’s stable of stations.
Jason Derulo kicks things off for iHeartRadio LIVE with fans able to catch his performance recorded live at the iHeartRadio Album Release Party to launch his fifth studio album Everything Is 4 at the iHeartRadio Theatre in New York today.
Derulo’s iHeartRadio LIVE pop-up station can be heard beginning this Friday June 5 and his performance will feature songs from his new album including his current hit single, Want To Want Me and an album track by track interview.
Florence and the Machine’s iHeartRadio LIVE performance and Q&A will also be available this weekend and celebrates the launch of her third studio album, How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful, released on June 2.
In coming weeks, The Black Keys’ iHeartRadio LIVE pop-up station will feature their iHeartRadio LIVE performance and Q&A to celebrate the success of their eighth studio album, Turn Blue, which debuted last year at No. 1, and was featured on Rolling Stone's “Best Albums of 2014” list.
And Nate Ruess’ iHeartRadio LIVE pop-up station will feature his iHeartRadio LIVE performance and Q&A to celebrate the launch of his debut solo album, Grand Romantic. Ruess was part of acclaimed band Fun, which won the 2013 Grammy Award for Best New Artist and Song of the Year for We Are Young.
The iHeartRadio LIVE and iHeartRadio Album Release Party performances by Jason Derulo, Florence and the Machine, and Nate Ruess will also be broadcast across the KIIS National Network.
This month also marks the milestone of one year since the launch of iHeartRadio’s own Australian music news station as part of a collaboration with www.noise11.com. New Australian interviews with more than 70 local and international artists are part of its comprehensive and eclectic music news and content.
The station showcases exclusive artist interviews, songs, exclusive live performances and behind the scenes access to artists making the news that week, powered by Noise11.com.
