Studios 301 taking part in global Converse-funded program
Sydney’s Studios 301 is among 12 iconic global recording studios taking part in a new program launched by Converse Inc.
As part of the footwear brand’s program with its own two recording studios Converse Rubber Tracks, Converse is offering artists the chance to record original music at one of 12 studios across eight different countries in four continents.
From today, emerging artists and bands aligned with any genre can register for the chance to record at:

Abbey Road (former EMI Studios) was of course the holy ground where The Beatles, Pink Floyd, the Hollies and Badfinger recorded. Australian acts including Kylie Minogue, Olivia Newton-John and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds have also recorded there. Sunset Sound’s most notable clients include Janis Joplin, Bee Gees, Rolling Stones and Guns N Roses (Australia’s own Wolfmother, Olivia Newton-John and The Vines also recorded there) and TheHansa Tonstudioin Berlin recorded Iggy Pop’s seminal 1977 LP Lust for Life, produced by Bowie, and U2’s 2x Grammy Award winning LP Achtung Baby.
Studios 301, with spaces in Sydney’s Alexandria and Byron Bay, has recorded ARIA #1 albums including 5 Seconds Of Summer’s self-titled, Vance Joy’s Dream Your Life Away, Bruce Springsteen’s High Hopes and Coldplay’s Ghost Stories.
84 recording sessions will be offered at all 12 studios within a two-week timeframe. Registrationruns throughto Wednesday, June 24.
The Converse Rubber Tracks studios have recorded 900 acts so far, each having been given free studio time, an experienced engineer and all rights to the finished cut.
