Today’s Hit Network and YouTube launch YouTube Hits

YouTube Hits! is an online video and national radio show hybrid – the first of its kind in Australia. The show will reflect the amazing world of YouTube music, stars and viral videos, both on air and on-demand on YouTube.

To be hosted by Michael Beveridge and Marty Smiley, YouTube Hits! will air nightly at 10pm across 55 radio stations on Today’s Hit Network and then on-demand on YouTube, to a potential audience of millions.

The show will link up-and-coming music stars to radio, feature the most viewed songs of the day and include regular contributions and appearances from the world’s favourite YouTube stars!

YouTube Hits! will seize the random library of awesomeness that is YouTube to create daily entertainment and reveal exactly what young Australians and the world are watching online!

Head of Today’s Hit Network, DAVE CAMERON said: “The opportunity to create a nightly radio and video show, developed in partnership with the world’s biggest music and video platform is unbelievably exciting for us. YouTube Hits! will come to life nightly around Australia on both YouTube and Today’s Hit Network and will be powered daily using data provided by our joint venture show partner, YouTube.”

YouTube Hits! launchedon Monday 4 May and will be on air Mondays to Thursdays 10pm to midnight and Sundays at 8pm across all 55 radio stations in Today’s Hit Network. At the very same time it will be providing on-demand video to the world via the YouTube Hits! YouTube channel.
