Hopeless signs UK pop-punk newcomers Trash Boat
PRESS RELEASE:
Trash Boat have officially signed to Hopeless Records worldwide. The UK based pop-punk newcomers will issue their first strike as part of the Hopeless family on May 19th, 2015, in the form of sophomore EP, Brainwork. The EP is available for vinyl and digital pre-order now, and sees the band taking a considerable step up from their 2014 debut, the self released Look Alive EP
The band states, “We're so excited to announce that we have signed with Hopeless Records. We're so thankful that a label like them have taken a chance on us and given us the biggest opportunity any band could ever ask for. Here's to the future, let's see what it holds!”
Crunching guitars collide with the distinct vocals of front man Tobi Duncan in an explosive cocktail of infectious hooks, Brainwork showcasing just why Trash Boat have stepped out from the crowd.
As an immersive first taste of what’s to come, Trash Boat have unveiled infectious lead single, Perspective, accompanied by an official music video.
Trash Boat (named after an episode of Regular Show) formed in the beginning of 2014 and is composed of vocalist Tobi Duncan, guitarists Dann Bostock and Ryan Hyslop, bassist James Grayson and drummer Oakley Moffatt. Despite a flurry of live activity, in the wake of their debut EP Look Alive, the pop punks have only recently completed their first full tour: a 10-date stint across Mainland Europe with As It Is and Trophy Eyes. As they gear up to bring their buoyant guitar licks and vocal melodies forth in EP number 2, the band are scheduled to play alongside Real Friends, Weatherstate and Nathan Detroit, before playing a number of festivals including Download Festival. 2015 is sure to see them continue to ride the wave of success.
