British producer Calvin Harris has teamed up with Canadian singer-songwriter The Weeknd for new radio-ready release ‘Over Now’.

The track combines The Weeknd’s silky smooth RnB-tinged vocals, with tight and catchy production from Harris, and lands high on TMN’s latest Singles To Radio predictions.

‘Over Now’ represents the first time the pair have collaborated, but they are proven hitmakers in Australia individually. Combined, they have 101 Platinum certifications Down Under.

The Weeknd is currently the #1 most-streamed artist globally on Spotify, after a huge start to 2020 where he held the #1 position at Australian radio for nine weeks with ‘Blinding Lights’.

That track was his first #1 on the coveted ARIA Singles Chart, while his previous Hot 100 chart-toppers have been ‘Can’t Feel My Face’ and ‘The Hills’.

Harris has been no slouch when it comes to radio and streaming in Australia. Both ‘Promises’ with Sam Smith and ‘This Is What You Came For’ have previously topped the Hot 100.

The latter also went to #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart in 2016, which he also topped thanks to Disciples collab ‘How Deep Is Your Love’ a year prior.

With ‘Over Now’ already spinning on the Nova, KIIS, triple j and the Hit Network, it will be no surprise if the record becomes the latest radio and streaming hit for these two chart stalwarts.

The official video clip was directed by long-time Harris collaborator Emil Nava.
