Avicii, Tom Waits, major label execs to judge International Songwriting Comp
Avicii, Bastille, Tom Waits and Sara McLachlan are among the latest artists to join the 2015 International Songwriting Competition judging panel.
Overnight, organisers announced the deadline to enter songs has been extended to November 4.
Each year ISC gives away more than $150,000 in cash and prizes shared among 68 winners, including a Grand Prize of $25,000 cash and $30,000 in prizes. Past winners include Australian acts Gotye and Missy Higgins, New Zealand’s Kimbra and Gin Wigmore, as well as UK artists Passenger and Bastille, and US artist Lindsay Stirling.
ISC has also expanded its panel of industry executives with Presidents and CEOs from Republic, Atlantic, Warner Bros. Elektra, Columbia UK, Virgin UK, Sony Music Latin, Mercury UK, Wind-Up, Tommy Boy, Alligator, Blind Pig, Fat Possum, Robins Entertainment, S-Curve and Concord Music Group.
