The VANNS sign to 123 Music, unleash new single & tour dates

Wollongong hailing four-piece The VANNS have released a new single ‘Mother’.

It’s the band’s first release through their new label 123 Music, a joint venture launched by Sony and 123 Agency in 2018.

That same year 123 also started its own management company VVV MGMT.

In addition to the new single, The VANNS revealed dates for their new live show in Sydney and Melbourne kicking off in late June.

They’ve also just announced the introduction of a new drummer to the band, Andrew Banovic.

123 Music’s Damo Costin said the band has huge “international potential”.

“Very excited about The Vanns officially signing with 123 Music!” he said.

“These guys have some incredible international potential and we have been working really hard on the new album I think people are going to be really excited to hear their new music.”

Since forming in 2013 The VANNS have developed a reputation for high-energy rock, and ‘Mother’ is the next phase of that, following on from 2018’s ‘How Was I Supposed To Know’.

‘Mother was recorded in Melbourne at Head Gap Studios, with the help of Oscar Dawson and Chris Collins.

Working with Oscar was like having an older brother in the band, a fifth member who related so well with us lads, the songs and how we wanted to record them,” Jimmy Vann reflected.

The VANNS will play an intimate label launch gig at Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory on Tuesday, June 18, alongside labelmates Pinkish Blu and Hollow Coves.
