Are the Spice Girls gearing up for a reunion announcement tonight?
Reports in the British media are that the Spice Girls’ long-awaited announcement on their reunion world tour and other projects will be made in London tonight (Australian time).
Emma Bunton, Geri Horner, Mel B and Mel C will do the tour without Victoria Beckham, who decided to sit it out to concentrate on her fashion label.
But the decision was amicable: Beckham posted her good wishes to her former colleagues on social media.
A video has been recorded by the band for release today.
A leaked line-up for this weekend’s episode of The Jonathan Ross Show has the four set to discuss the reunion.
Aside from world dates upcoming projects, including TV shows, endorsements, and a greatest hits compilation.
The best selling female band of all time, with a grand tally of 85 million records, last played together with Beckham at the London Olympics in 2012.
In February this year, they met to discuss a reunion, saying, “The time feels right to explore some incredible new opportunities together.”
The Spice Girls’ 7 million-selling 1996 female-power anthem ‘Wannabe’ is said to have a new lease of life in the #metoo era.
