Screen Music Awards announces return of host & music director
Denise Scott

The awards, which recognise the achievements of screen composers, is held on Monday November 19 at the City Recital Hall in Sydney.

Coincidentally, this year’s ceremony marks a first for the new leaders of the two associations which run the awards – Australian Guild of Screen Composers (AGSC) president Caitlin Yeo and APRA AMCOS chief executive, Dean Ormston.

Ormston said, “Australian composers and their music soundtracks play a vital role in telling our stories, to local and global audiences.

“I’m looking forward to celebrating both the local and international screen music achievements of our members with the AGSC.”

The categories are:

  • Best Feature Film Score
