Was ist los? The Living End unveil details of Berlin-made album, spring tour

The Living End have announced details of their eighth studio album, which was recorded over a six week period in Berlin with producer Tobias Kuhn.

Titled Wunderbar (or “wonderful” in English or “grouse” in Australian) it gets a worldwide release through BMG on September 28.

It will be available to buy on vinyl, digital and CD formats.

The first 10,000 copies of the CD version includes a bonus DVD featuring an hour-long live performance recorded in Berlin plus a documentary about the recording of the album.

Frontman Chris Cheney says about its raucous sound, “We’re not trying to re-write Dark Side Of The Moon or anything.

“Instead, Wunderbar does what The Living End do best, what’s kept hundreds of thousands of fans listening for nearly a quarter of a century: straightforward, heart-pounding, guns blazing rock and roll. I cannot wait to hit the road and get loud!”

In November they hit five theatres, joined by Adelaide seven-piece West Thebarton who’re promoting their debut album Different Beings Being Different.
