SCA launches new Triple M Country digital radio station
Southern Cross Austereo’s latest digital radio station Triple M Country is launching at midnight tonight.
Triple M Country is set to feature contemporary music by artists including Lee Kernaghan, Kasey Chambers, Keith Urban, Sam Hunt, Florida Georgia Line and Carrie Underwood.
Kernaghan will host his own show ‘The Range’ on the new station on Sunday mornings 6am – 8am, where he will share his love of music, artists and stories behind ‘Today’s Best Country’. The show is a key contributor to TMN’s Country Airplay Chart.
The station will also feature shows including ’Nashville Access’ and ’Hot CountrySaturday Night’.
“The launch of the Triple M Country signals the continued growth and diversification of the Triple M brand across Australia,” said SCA chief creative officer Guy Dobson.
“This is the next brand extension for Triple M – offering even more solutions for our clients and an even broader audience reach.”
“Research around the world shows country music lovers discover music via broadcast radio.”
The new station has also been announced as a partner for ‘Country Rocks Sydney Festival’, to be headlined by Kernaghan, his sister Tania, Adam Brand, James Blundell and more.
Triple M Country will officially launch at 12am (AEST) Thursday February 1, joining other SCA Triple M digital stations including Triple M Modern Digital, Triple M Greatest Hits, and Triple M Classic Rock Digital.
Triple M Country will be available on DAB+ digital radio in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, via the Triple M app and online at Triple M’s website.
