2018 CMC Music Awards shortlist announced, voting opens
The shortlist of artists eligible to be nominated for 2018 CMC Music Awards has been revealed, with voting also kicking off today.
Foxtel’s CMC Music Awards is set to go down on Thursday March 15 at The Star on the Gold Coast, with The McClymonts to play hosts on a night where they are also up for three awards.
The night will see performances from a strong lineup of artists including US country pop star Kelsea Ballerini and localfavouritesThe Wolfe Brothers, both of whom are shortlisted in multiple award categories.
The shortlisted nominees have been announced based primarily on CMC airplay, with last year’s awards seeing over 370,000 votes cast.
Shortlisted for International Artists of the Year include Keith Urban, Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, and Jason Aldean, while The McClymonts, The Wolf Brothers, Jetty Road and Busby Marou are among those eligible for Group or Duo of the Year.
The shortlist for the hotly contested Australian Artist of the Year includes Kirsty Lee Akers, Kasey Chambers, O’Shea, The McClymonts, The Wolfe Brothers, Jetty Road, Busby Marou, Lee Kernaghan, Amber Lawrence and more.
Other award categories including Female Artist of the Year, Male Artist of the Year, New Artist of the Year, and of course both Australian and International Video of the Year.

Voting is open today, Friday January 12, and closes Febuary 26.
