Destroy All Lines Recruits Veteran Promoter Scott Mesiti
Scott Mesiti joins Destroy All Lines, just days out from the independent concert promoter’s latest edition of Good Things Festival.
Mesiti boasts more than 20 years’ experience in live music, and will provide “additional senior leadership across the rapidly growing company,” according to a statement.
The new recruit’s CV includes stints as festival director of Australian Music Week and director of MJR Presents, acquired by TEG in 2019.
“We are thrilled that Scott has joined Destroy All Lines in our promoter team,” comments Chris O’Brien, head of touring at Destroy All Lines.
Mesiti has promoted artists such as Hans Zimmer, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Cypress Hill, 50 Cent, Six 60, The Jacksons, Sia, Steel Panther, Evanescence, James, Salt & Pepa, Sean Paul, Shaggy, UB40 and other, “and we can’t wait to see what he brings to the company in the future,” O’Brien continues.
Destroy All Lines has emerged as one of the biggest independent concert promoters here or anywhere, shifting upwards of 700,000 tickets in the past 12 months.
Formed in 2003, Destroy All Lines has worked on treks for the likes of The Offspring, All Time Low, Interpol, Bring Me The Horizon, Simple Plan, Bloc Party, Ghost, Parkway Drive and many others.
The jewel in its crown is Good Things, the traveling heavy music fest which visits Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane next month, with a show featuring Korn, Sum 41 and many more.
Last year, the company launched its work promoting Knotfest Australia, on which Mesiti served as ccountry music divisions.
