Cooking Vinyl Aus taps Epitaph veteran Dave Jiannis for new role

Cooking Vinyl Australia has entered a label services partnership with Epitaph Records, which will see Dave Jiannis work across both companies.

In the newly created role ofSenior Product Manager, Epitaph Australia Label Manager Dave Jiannis will work across allEpitaph, its sister label ANTI-andCooking Vinyl Australiareleases, overseeing all facets of release strategy.

The partnership will see the localCooking Vinylteam in Melbourne provide marketing and promo expertise to priorityEpitaphandANTI-releases.

Distribution ofEpitaphproduct will remain withAlternativeDistributionAlliance (ADA)/ Warner Music,in Australia and NZ.

General Manager ofEpitaphandANTI-,Dave Hansensaid,“We have had a great relationship with both Stu and Leigh for years and are excited to work together with them to promote our music in Australia.

“This partnership will allowDave Jiannisto continue working withEpitaphartists, as well as give him the opportunity to work withCooking Vinylto help develop and break their artists,” he added. “At the same time,Epitaphwill benefit from theCooking Vinylteam working to promote our records.”

Jiannis reports directly to Co-Managing DirectorsStu Harvey and Leigh Gruppetta, and joins the team next Monday (November 14) at Cooking Vinyl’s Kensington office in Melbourne.

Jiannis said: “I’m very much looking forward to the new partnership between Epitaph and the experienced and passionate team at Cooking Vinyl Australia as I see great parallels in the way both labels work and represent their artists.”
