UTS’ Student-Led Record Label to Host Launch Events This Month
450 Records, the label project run by third year University of Technology Sydney (UTS) students, has announced live showcase events for this month.

The two nights are segmented into genre groups, with the May 8 showcase offering a mixture of Hip-hop, RnB, and EDM, and the May 15 showcase offering a mix of Rock, Indie and Pop.

UTS has partnered with local craft beer brewery Young Henrys to offer attendees beer and cider on both nights. Young Henrys has been dedicated to bringing the live music scene back with a vengeance following the pandemic, so this month’s team up 450 Records will be a celebration of the next crop of music acts entering the industry.
UTS’ Music Business and Professional Practice subject is coordinated by Dr Jeff Crabtree, a researcher, consultant and developer of workplace training for the industry. He conducted the first academic study into workplace harassment in the Australian music industry.
