Unreleased Michael Hutchence song posted online
In the battle of the two Michael Hutchence documentaries, the first shot was fired when Sydney entrepreneur Ron Creevey posted a 11-second snippet of a new track Kik It on his Facebook.
The full track, which won’t be released for a few more months. Is part of an album of 15 previously unheard tracks recorded shortly before his death in Sydney in 1997. The rock themed cut was apparently Hutchence’s most favourite of his final recordings.
The project, put together by Creevey and Los Angeles producer Danny Saber, will mark the 20th anniversary of the INXS singer’s passing. The album, to be issued through Creevey’s Helipad Records, will coincide with a documentary, to be finished by November, to mark the 20th anniversary of his passing. Both have the approval of Hutchence’s family and estate.
INXS and their creative manager Christopher M. Murphy are also working on a documentary on Hutchence.
