The Veronicas have reignited their global career, signing with Los Angeles-based Big Noise and playing festivals in the U.S. next year.

The signing signifies a permanent return to LA for Jessica and Lisa Origliasso.

The deal follows their split from Sony Music Australia, first reported by TMN in May.

“The Veronicas have been at the forefront of unapologetic female pop-punk their entire career, and we’re excited to represent their music & vision into 2023,” said Jon Cohen, president of Big Noise Music Group, in a statement this morning.

The Origliassos become the label’s first female-fronted act – the roster includes Mod Sun, the Used, Goldfinger, The Wrecks, Escape the Fate, Boxboy and male duo girlfriends – and are dubbed their priority for 2023.

The deal was finalised after the twins spent time mid-year writing in Los Angeles with Big Noise A&R and producer John Feldmann and Travis Barker (Blink 182).

Feldmann (The Used, Avril Lavigne, 5 Seconds of Summer) and Cohen (The 1975, Dashboard Confessional, Edward Sharpe) founded Big Noise with Nick Gross (Zendaya, Ariana Grande, Wiz Khalifa).

The Veronicas are being added to festivals across the U.S. for 2023 including the biggest emo rock revival When We Were Young in Las Vegas.

With a bill including Green Day, Blink 182, 30 Seconds To Mars, The Offspring, Good Charlotte and 5 Seconds of Summer, the October 21, 2023 show sold out in 14 minutes and 12 months ahead.

The Origliassos were teenagers when they relocated to Los Angeles, and were signed by the legendary Seymour Stein (Madonna, Radio Birdman, the Ramones) his Sire label through Warner Music.

They have notched up 16 Top 10 singles over 17 years, three Number Ones, five Platinum international albums and more than 900 million global streams.

They returned to live on the Gold Coast to be with their mother Colleen after she was diagnosed with a rare neurological condition. Colleen passed away last September.

They continued to stay in the spotlight as judges on TV’s “The Voice” and their own TikTok talent show, “UNDSCVRD”, releasing new music in Australia, playing a myriad of music festivals and supporting their many charities and political causes.

Lisa married U.S. actor Logan Hoffman in 2018 and Jess recently became engaged to jewellery designer Alex Smith during a Paris holiday.

There were rumours this year that the Veronicas had split up, after wiping their official Instagram account and leaving a message “Love knows not its own depth, until the hour of separation.”

But they later admitted it was part of a publicity stunt for alcohol brand Vodka Cruiser.
