Niche Agency Signs RARIA for Live Bookings (EXCLUSIVE)
Rising artist RARIA signs to Niche Agency for live bookings in Australia and New Zealand, TMN can exclusively reveal.
The Melbourne-based pop singer and songwriter is turning heads with her 2022 singles “Dude” and “Kill You Boy,” which has raced past 430,000 plays on Spotify and is accompanied with a self-directed music video.
Both cuts drop ahead of RARIA’s new EP Happy, Sad, due out via TMRW Music this September.
But first, the title track from it is set for release Aug. 12.
“When I heard the intro verses/bars to RARIA’s ‘Kill You Boy,’ I did a genuine double take and replayed the song with a grin on my face,” comments Niche’s Bassia Dinnen.
RARIA “brings a cheeky and powerful spin onto pop hits, with lyrics you can’t help but sing along to.” The agency is confident their latest signing will “be a hit with audiences worldwide and are looking forward to a bright future working with her on this project.”
At Niche, RARIA joins an agency roster that includes Benee, SIX60, Nai Palm, Saint Lane, Sampa The Great, Haiku Hands, Fat Freddy’s Drop, The Bamboos, Thundamentals and many others.
It “now feels like the perfect moment” to join the team, says RARIA’s manager Dylan Burrowes.
RARIA, meanwhile, says her new live reps are “the missing piece to the puzzle alongside my label TMRW Music,” adding, “I’m so excited to play more shows and share more music this year.”
RARIA impressed on debut with her 2021 debut EP Boys Who Broke My Heart, which showcased her vocals and a talent for diving into tales of love, heartbreak and relationships, all with a cheeky spin.
Her fans have also lined-up on TikTok, where her creations have gathered upwards of 3.5 million “likes,” she’s been added to Spotify’s Pop n’ Fresh and Fresh Finds playlists, and enjoyed support from Pop Sauce in the U.K.
RARIA will celebrate her new deal and fresh tunes with a pair of east coast shows, at Northcote Social Club in her hometown (Aug. 16) and Sydney’s The Vanguard (Aug. 23).
Niche Productions was founded by James Browning in 2004 as a boutique touring business and artist booking agency with a mission to “satisfy a gap that needed to be filled for the emerging underground sounds that were under represented in the Australian market.”
