The Brave sign to UNFD

PRESS RELEASE:

UNFD hasannounced the singing of Brisbane metalcore band THE BRAVE to its burgeoning roster.

Before the official singing announcement went public, The Brave unveiled their brand new track ‘Searchlights’ via a mystery email blast. On Monday morning, the UNFD Easter Bunny visited inboxes and dropped off the song along with the hashtag #UNFDEasterEgg. With no further information offered, speculation swirled all over the Internet as to who the new member of the UNFD family could be. Today we can officially confirm that The Brave are the latest addition to the label.

‘Searchlights’ is the first taste of new music from The Brave. Written and recorded in quiet, the track is an infectious, soaring ode to a departed family member.

We’re very excited to be working with The Brave,” says UNFD’s Luke Logemann. “We’ve had our eye on them for a while and look forward to introducing them to the UNFD community. ‘Searchlights’ is an amazing song that had us hooked immediately, and the new material the band keeps delivering is blowing us all away!

Vocalist Nathan Toussaint shares the sentiment: “We’re beyond stoked on signing to UNFD, when we started this band we came in with the intention just to play shows and cater to our creative sides to write music. We never thought that it would take us to the point of getting signed let alone signed to a label like UNFD which has a roster full of bands that we look up to and draw inspiration from. We can’t wait to get on the road and see how far we can take our band and see what adventures await us.

Brisbane natives The Brave came together in late 2013 with the goal of creating meaningful, melodic heavy music on their own terms. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Bring Me The Horizon, While She Sleeps and Underoath, their debut EP, Endless, swiftly hit the streets in mid-2014. From there, The Brave have been sharing stages with In Hearts Wake, Dream On Dreamer and Dance Gavin Dance, turning heads nationwide and attracting the attention of many fans along the way, including UNFD boss Luke Logemann who brought the band into the esteemed label’s roster alongside Northlane, Architects and Hands Like Houses.

The Brave will be hitting the road once again to showcase ‘Searchlights’ to fans along the east coast this April.
