Grimes, Mac Demarco, Courtney Barnett contribute art to FBi Radio auction

Sydney’s FBi Radio is bringing back its auction of musician-made masterpieces, ‘Brush With Fame’.
A fundraiser for the independent broadcaster, FBi’s Brush With Fame offers bidders the chance to own a one-of-a-kind canvas: hand-drawn by some of the world’s best loved musicians who have visited the station in recent months. The auction will run on eBay from Thursday 10 March (9pm AEDT) until Sunday 20 March (9pm AEDT).
This year’s auction includes art from international heavyweights Mac Demarco, Grimes, Hot Chip, Killer Mike & El-P (Run The Jewels), Parquet Courts, Neneh Cherry & more.
On the local front, some of Australia’s best rising musicians feature in the auction: Alison Wonderland, Cosmo’s Midnight, Peter Bibby, The Rubens and Total Giovanni. There is even a lock of Dune Rats hair up for grabs with the Brisbane band’s artwork, as cut off by Courtney Barnettduring the FBi x Laneway Festival radio takeover last year. (An optional addition – the canvas can also be purchased hair-free!)
