MJR Presents, the growing boutique promoter, has hired former Moshtix executive Jessie Miller to oversee marketing for its Australian and New Zealand activities, TIO can exclusively reveal.

Miller, who previously served as marketing manager for independent ticketing business Moshtix, joins a company which boasts nearly 200,000 tickets sold to Australian shows over the last twelve months.

MJR Presents was formed through the 2015 merger of local touring group S4 Productions with U.K.-based MJR Group. In recent months, the business hit its strides by producing tours for the likes of Hans Zimmer, 50 Cent, Steel Panther, Belle & Sebastian and others. Mariah Carey‘s rescheduled national tour this October will be produced by MJR.

‘We’re excited to have Jessie join the team,” comments MJR Australian Director Scott Mesiti. “It further strengthens the Australian and U.K. marketing operations and her experience will complement our focus on a data driven, analytical approach to tour promotion.’

Miller, a marketing and publicity veteran with experience across various festival brands, says she joins an MJR team at an “exciting time of growth, both here in Australia and internationally.”

She adds, “The entire team have been so welcoming and I look forward to working with them to spearhead some great marketing initiatives around future tours and projects.”

In the U.K, The MJR Group owns and operates venues, festivals and promotes more than 1,000 shows each year.  Next up, international expansion.

Experienced booker and talent buyer Baris Basaran recently came on board to head up MJR’s eastern and central Europe interests. The MJR Group operates out of Sydney and Port Macquarie in Australia and London and Bristol in the U.K. and already handles tours across Dubai, South Africa, Japan and China.
