Ariana Grande is the first artist to claim top 3 spots on Billboard Hot 100 since The Beatles
Ariana Grande has become the first artist to hold the number 1, 2 and 3 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 charts since The Beatles in 1964.
Grande’s “7 rings” is currently topping the chart for a fourth consecutive week, whilst “break up with your girlfriend, i’m bored” has debuted at no. 2, and “thank u, next” has rebounded from no.7 to no.3.

Grande is the second act in history to achieve such a feat. Back in 1964, The Beatles held the top 3 spots for five weeks in March and April. On April 4, the band had claimed the top five spots on the countdown with the following tracks:
No. 1: “Can’t Buy Me Love”
No. 2: “Twist and Shout”
No. 3: “She Loves You”
No. 4: “I Want to Hold Your Hand”
No. 5: “Please Please Me”
Ariana Grande is no stranger to breaking records. ‘thank u, next’ has made both Spotify and Youtube history. Back in November, the track became the fastest song to surpass 100 million Spotify streams. On November 5th, It also broke the record for the most-streamed song in a single day from a female artist, clocking up an enormous 8.2 million streams.
In December last year, the video for ‘thank u, next’ broke Youtube’s record for most-streamed video in 24 hours, with 50.3 million views.
