Independent Chart Wrap: Marcus Marr & Chet Faker debut high

It’s another quiet week atop the Carlton Dry Independent Singles chart this week as Marcus Marr & Chet Faker’s The Trouble With Us remainins at #1. It sits ahead of Vance Joy’s Fire And The Flood at #2, which also sees no movement from last week.
At #3 is the first new change, with Marcus Marr & Chet Faker’s Work EP earning a high debut. Urthboy enjoys a new peak inside the Top 10 with Long Hard Hours featuring Bertie Blackman seeing a move to #8 from #12.
Outside the Top 10 the chart sees two new debuts mark the only notable changes. At #17 is the new single from The Bennies, Party Machine followed by duo Boo Seeka with Fool at #19.
AIR Radio Play
It’s an identical Top 2 on the Independent Radio Play chart this week though Boo Seeka quickly provide change at #3 with Fool moving up from #5.
Emma Lousie’s Underflow takes a new peak at #4 from #6 with Ayla replacing her at #6 with a new debut from When The World Ends. The first re-entry of the chart comes in at #9 as I Know Leopard’s Another Life comes in at #9.
Outside the Top 10 Polish Club’s Beeping moves up to a new high point of #12 from #14, followed by The Ruben’s The Night Is On My Side at #13 from #18.
Courtney Barnett finds a new debut for An Illustration Of Loneliness at #17 followed by a re-entry from Vance Joy’s Riptide at #20.
AIR Albums
The Ten Tenors remain at #1 yet again with Our Christmas Wish, as does Courtney Barnett at #2 with Sometimes I Sit And Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit. Russell Morris’ Red Dirt Red Heart hits #3 up from #6, meanwhile Gurrumul’s The Gospel Album moves back up to #6 from #10.
Bucko & Champs see a debut of #16 with Aussie Christmas With Bucko And Champs with The Smith Street Band’s Throw Me In The River re-entering close behind at #17.
