Bec Brown signs national contract with Australian Radio Network

Sydney-based PR, social media and corporate communications agency Bec Brown Communications (BBC) today announced its expansion into Melbourne as the agency takes on management of all national PR and corporate communications across Australian Radio Network (ARN).
This increased scope includes PR and communications strategy across ARN’s national KIIS and Pure Gold networks – a total of nine stations nationally – plus Sydney’s The Edge 96.ONE and iHeartRadio Australia.
BBC is delighted to announce this expansion has resulted in the appointment of Sacha McDougal to Senior PR Manager, who will be based in Melbourne.
BBC began working with ARN in November 2012, managing the company’s national corporate communications strategy and PR for Sydney stations WSFM and Mix 106.5 (now better known as KIIS 1065).
Over the past three years, this account steadily grew to include PR management for ARN’s stations in Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth, and the launch and ongoing PR management for digital entertainment platform iHeartRadio Australia.
During this time BBC was also part of ARN’s landmark launch of KIIS 1065 with Kyle & Jackie O, and the rebrand of WSFM and the Pure Gold network.
From January 2016, working alongside the ARN Marketing team, BBC will now take responsibility for the remaining ARN stations, Melbourne’s GOLD104.3 and KIIS 101.1, with the day to day PR managed by the newly appointed Sacha McDougal.
Sacha is an experienced Melbourne-based media professional with almost five years as a publicist for the Seven Network working across news including national flagship shows like Seven News, Sunrise, The Morning Show and Sunday Night, plus seasonal and entertainment programming including The Australian Open, Spring Racing Carnival, My Kitchen Rules, The X Factor and Dancing with the Stars. Prior to moving into PR, Sacha worked as a journalist and Chief of Staff for Fairfax Media. Sacha’s education credits include a Bachelor of Journalism and in January she will graduate with a Bachelor of Law.
From Melbourne, Sacha will also be working across several of BBC’s other long-term clients including The Wiggles, Red Nose Day and Cover-More Travel Insurance.

Sacha’s appointment brings the BBC team to five senior media professionals.
Launching in March 2012, the agency’s long-term clients currently include ABC For Kids, Universal Music, The Wiggles, Cover-More Travel Insurance, SIDS and Kids’ Red Nose Day and Xtend Barre. This month BBC also signed a contract with health entrepreneur and former NRL star Adam MacDougall for his two brands The Man Shake and The Man Challenge.
