KLP launches mentorship program Ricochet MATES
Songwriter, producer and DJ, KLP (Kristy Lee Peters) is up to her usual antics, making the Australian music industry better one initiative at a time. Today it’s the launch of Ricochet MATES, a mentorship program for female and non-binary artists.
Ricocheting energy and good vibes across the industry, Ricochet MATES comes at a time when creatives need it most. The support provided through the program will come care of KLP herself, along with a host of local artist and producer mentors including Woodes, JANEVA, Thandi Phoenix and Elizabeth Maniscalco.
Female and non-binary artists, songwriters or producers, at any stage of their career, are encouraged to apply to take part in two online mentoring sessions, plus a mentoring session with KLP, as well as one publicity and media training session with award-winning publicist Anna Fitzgerald.
“Both myself and other creatives I have spoken to have felt that it’s been quite difficult to find purpose and joy in such crazy and uncertain times right now,” said KLP. “So I wanted to find a small way to connect with people and share stories, inspiration and good energy. I’m so excited that these amazing fierce mentors are donating their time and I can’t wait to meet who applies!”
Applications for Ricochet MATES are open now via the Ricochet website: www.thisisricochet.com and close Sunday, 31st August. The mentoring sessions to take place during September 2020.
Ricochet MATES is the latest addition to KLP’s growing community of Ricochet events which include her beloved Ricochet songwriting camps and the charity netball event, Ricochet BALL.
