UMPG signs artist and songwriter Post Malone

Breakout Republic Records artist and songwriter Post Malone has signed an exclusive, worldwide publishing agreement with Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG), it was announced today by Jody Gerson, Chairman and CEO of UMPG.
In making the announcement Gerson said: “Post Malone is so imaginative and an original. ‘White Iverson’ is just the tip of the iceberg of what he’s capable of, and this is just the very beginning of what I expect to be a successful career for him as a songwriter and an artist.”
Through the deal, UMPG will represent Malone’s entire catalogue, including his new hit single “White Iverson,” which put him on the map as one of this year’s brightest young stars after igniting an incredible response among critics and fans. The song has reached No.8 on the Billboard Hot Rap Songs chart and No.11 on the Billboard Hot R&B Hop Hop Songs chart, and it is fast climbing the Hot 100. It has also been played nearly 40 million times on SoundCloud and over 40 million times on Spotify. The music video for “White Iverson” has also totaled over 44 million views on YouTube. Other tracks include “Too Young” (10.4 million plays on SoundCloud), “Tears” (4.17 million plays on SoundCloud) and “That’s It” (4.29 million plays SoundCloud).
