Neil Finn signs worldwide deal with Good Neighbour
Legendary singer-songwriter Neil Finn has signed with Good Neighbour Rights, the neighbouring rights arm of Mushroom Group.
The deal offers Finn access to the company’s international royalties department, which provides royalty reporting and analysis, as well as the fully dedicated neighbouring rights team.
Finn is the frontman of 13-time ARIA Award winning Crowded House, who are currently preparing for their worldwide tour.
Finn’s career had spanned four decades and included time with New Zealand rock group Split Enz, as well as more recently joining the touring band of Fleetwood Mac.
Finn’s son Liam Finn, as well as his brother and fellow Crowded House member, Tim Finn, are both already signed to Good Neighbour.
Good Neighbour’s managing director, Susan Cotchin, said to be given the chance to work with music royalty is “truly is a dream”.
“Working on a catalogue of hits like ‘Message To My Girl’, ‘Don’t Dream It’s Over’, ‘Better Be Home Soon’, is a privilege we don’t take for granted, but moreover, the signing of Neil Finn has affirmed to me that great artists will come to performer-focused companies, who genuinely care and are dedicated not only to an artist’s recording career, but to the whole artist ethos,” she said.
Good Neighbour’s roster also includes Vance Joy, Zedd, Cold War Kids, Shungudzo, Split Enz, and Tom Meighan (Kasabian).
