Every Open Eye

Scottish indie electronic/synth-pop trio Chvrches havetheir sophomore album Every Open Eye set for release tomorrow, anditsperfectly timed. The release coincides with theannouncement earlier this week that Chvrches will be returning to Australian shores next year as one of the leading acts for St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival.
Debut album The Bones Of What You Believe sawa peak of #13 on the ARIA Albums chart. Airplay chart success wasa little less predominant, with only their recent single Leave A Trace peaking at #83, though they have had #1s on the TMN Alternative chart with singles Get Away and Recover. Lead single Leave A Trace has amassed 7.3 millions streams on Spotify and is currently their most popular track on the platform,while also earning 2 million views on YouTube.
The group are arguably at their most popular yet, rounding off dates at big events this year such as Lollapalooza,Pitchfork Music Festival andV Festival. But withEvery Open Eye,Chvrches are likely to have their most successful ARIA Charting album on their hands yet.

Stories

Globally renowned EDM producer – and the person at the forefront of commercial dance music – Avicii,will see his sophomore album Stories released early next month. Locally, the Swedish producer has seen chart success with his debut album True peaking at #1 and singles Addicted To You, Hey Brother, The Days, The Nights, Wake Me Up!and I Could Be The One all peaking in the Top 10. He’s also clocked up two #1s on the TMN Hot 100 with Wake Me Up and Hey Brother.
Avicii currently has two singes, both Waiting For Love and For A Better Day sitting in the TMN Hot 100 chart at #55 and #47 respectively. It’s asafe assumption to make that the Grammy-nominated and 10th most streamed artist on Spotify ever will likely have a #1 on his hands.
