Sydney band 5 Seconds of Summer have scored their first US Top 10, with Youngblood, chart research company Nielsen Music announced.

In the latest chart, the track moved from #11 to #10.

So far, ’ highest single achievement in the US has been with Amnesia which peaked at #16.

All their three albums topped the charts, with the current Youngblood achieving the feat in June.

The band became the first Australian act with three #1 albums on the Billboard 200.

5SOS’ overseas success reflects their domination at home, which saw them top the Hot 100 back in July with Youngblood and help Music Australia grasp a 7% share of the chart.

“5SOS’ Youngblood reaching the #1 position on the Hot 100 was a welcome and hard-fought-for surprise,” head of marketing & media EMI Music Australia Alicia Reynolds told TMN.

“It is a credit to the band, their artistic vision and drive to innovate, and Australian radio and streaming services led the world in supporting them.
