100 venues join Night Time Industries Association campaign
Over 100 venues have joined the Night Time Industries Association (NTIA)’s Unite For The Night election campaign, its chair Michael Rodrigues reveals.
These include restaurants, pubs and bars from hospitality companies Solotel Group and Australian Venue Co, and the Independent Bars Association.
Rodrigues says the 100 will distribute their campaign material, saying, “These are some of the most highly patronised venues in NSW.”
The campaign material includes posters and coasters with the messages Lousy Lazy Lock Out Laws, Good Night Nanny State and Your Venue Needs You.
“The campaign assets being made available through the NTIA website so that any other venues that want to can get on board, download posters and coasters and have them printed themselves,” adds Rodrigues.
The 100 will be where punters can be educated on their nighttime options in the run-up to the March 23 NSW state election.
The merchandise will also direct consumers to the Unite for the Night’s election scorecard web page, which sets out a comparison of the night time policies of the major parties.
Last week, a fundraising gig was held at Sydney’s Metro Theatre with live sets from Josh Pyke, I know Leopard, Gordi, Kav Temperley and Wallace with comedians Matt Okine, Tom Ballard, Mel Buttle and Cameron James.
The NTIA board is made up of Kerry Glasscock (Sydney Fringe Festival), Justine Baker (Solotel Group), Rennie Addabbo (Sonos) and Greg Khoury (Century Venues).
