Warner Music Australia promotes Huw Araniego-Ellis, Thomas Shannon

Warner Music Australia has promoted Huw Araniego-Ellis and Thomas Shannon to senior marketing managers.

They continued to be based at the company’s Sydney HQ and report to Dan Ellis, head of marketing for frontline releases.

Araniego-Ellis joined Warner Music Australia as marketing manager in 2015, following roles as digital music editor at streaming service Guvera, operations manager at touring company and artist booking agency Niche Productions, and licensing manager at digital media entertainment solutions company Emstream.

Shannon has been with Warner Music Australia since 2017 after stints as a publicist at Mucho Bravado and Positive Feedback, and online and PR media manager at Universal Music Asia Pacific.

Araniego-Ellis says: “It’s a real privilege to work with our amazing artists from Australia and beyond.

“You can’t go wrong when you’ve got music this good and great collaboration from our teams around the world.

“We’ve got projects ranging from feature-length films to pop stars with a social message.

“My work’s rewarding and fun, and I’m looking forward to the new challenges ahead.”

Shannon adds: “My work’s all about connecting artists and fans in innovative and meaningful ways.

“That means delivering homegrown success and global stories for our local talent, as well as ensuring Australia plays a pivotal part in the international success of some of the world’s biggest stars.

“It’s great fun to be part of such a crucial, hard-working team that really delivers for our artists.”
