Vance Joy to Perform in Nova’s Red Room
Vance Joy will perform a free gig for fans as part of Nova’s Red Room.
The Red Room performance will take place in Brisbane on Monday, June 20, and will be hosted by the station’s local breakfast show “Ash, Luttsy & Susie”.
Fans can enter by listening to “Ash, Luttsy & Susie”, “Smallzy’s Surgery” or across the day with DC and Maddy Rowe. They can also enter online via the Nova Player.
Nova said winners will be among the first in Australia to hear Vance Joy perform his new tracks live before his “The Long Way Home” tour kicks off on September 17.
His new album “In Our Own Sweet Time” is out on June 10. It was predominately created during the pandemic through Zoom writing sessions.
Nova said the album is “inviting and intimate”, which is fitting for an event which aims to get radio listeners up close and personal with their favourite artists.
Paul Jackson, Nova Entertainment’s chief programming and music content officer, welcomed Vance Joy back to the Red Room stage.
“We’re delighted to announce Vance Joy Live in Nova’s Red Room in Brisbane before he brings his tour to Australia later this year,” he said.
“This is Vance’s third live performance on Nova’s Red Room stage, so we welcome him back as we continue to provide a platform for our Australian artists.”
Nova’s Red Room launched in 2012 and has since seen over 300 international and local artists perform for fans both live and virtually.
Previous performers include Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, Taylor Swift, Shawn Mendes, Sam Smith, Lizzo, Miley Cyrus, Tones and I and Billie Eilish
