Tyron Hapi ft. Laurell – About You (TWK/UMA)
After releasing debut single Anyway ft. Mimoza at the back end of 2017, Melbourne producer Tyron Hapi has hit back even harder with new single About You. Featuring Canadian Laurell, it’s a track that will have radio bouncing for months on end. Anyway peaked at #33 on the TMN Hot 100 and featured prominently on TMN’s Q1 airplay chart.
Galantis ft. MAX – Satisfied (ATL/WMA)
Swedish DJs Galantis haven’t had a Top 10 airplay single in Australia since No Money in 2016. TMN believes new single Satisfied is the duo’s best chance to get back to glory. The song is driven by an elastic bassline which arrives at a banging drop, and features the rising singer MAX.
Zedd & Elley Duhé – Happy Now (INT/UMA)
While not yet receiving an official service to radio, we feel a new single by Zedd demands our attention. Happy Now is the latest collab for Zedd, this time teaming up with US singer Elley Duhé. According to Zedd, it’s the most organic-sounding song he’s made in a long time. The DJ has been a staple point on the Hot 100 for more than five years with Clarity (#5), Stay The Night (#5), Stay (#3) and The Middle (#2) being his strongest singles.
LANY – Thru These Tears (POL/UMA)
Los Angeles indie outfit LANY are riding high with new single Thru These Tears, and it could well be a future radio hit. It’s a euphoric journey that works in indelible hooks and raw emotion (just wait for the bridge at 2 minutes). Look for this track popping up on commercial radio playlists around Australia over the coming weeks.
