Uncharted: Silk City & Dua Lipa to climb the Hot 100 with official radio service
Silk City & Dua Lipa – Electricity (COL/SME)
Silk City (aka Mark Ronson & Diplo) and Dua Lipa are an electrifying combo. This track might have a head start with a debut spot at #50 on the TMN Hot 100, but Electricity is poised to garner even more attention in its official opening week at radio. Lipa has been dominating the airwaves for the past year. Her most recent single, One Kiss with Calvin Harris, peaked at #3 on the airplay chart.
Black Eyed Peas – Big Love (INT/UMA)
Booked into Nova’s Red Room on September 28, followed up by a performance at the 2018 AFL Grand Final, Black Eyed Peas are back on the radar with new single Big Love. The politically charged release sees the group push on without former bandmate Fergie, while maintaining the radio appeal of their music. The group have nine Top 10 singles on the Hot 100 including two #1s (I Got A Feeling, Meet Me Halfway).
Jess Kent – Girl (CAP/EMI)
TMN was gripped on the first listen of Jess Kent’s Girl. A rising pop star in her own right, the track is poised to gain commercial and alternative radio attention with its infectious tag and melody. Until now, Kent has struggled to make inroads at radio, but Girl is by far the Aussie’s best chance at changing that. Hit network’s Late Night show Collective Noun have already added track.
